Arrive at our serene Kagurazaka studio. Meet your expert calligraphy instructor, receive a warm welcome, and get an introduction to the session’s flow and the Zen philosophy of "mindfulness" through Shodo.
Introduction & Demonstration - Mastering the Brush
Discover the rich history of Shodo and the "Four Treasures of the Study" (brush, ink, paper, and stone). Your instructor will demonstrate basic stroke techniques, showing you how to channel energy and elegance onto the traditional washi paper.
Hands-on Practice - Create Your Masterpiece
Start your creative journey under professional guidance. Practice fundamental strokes before choosing a meaningful Kanji character to write on high-quality traditional paper. Experience a sense of inner peace as you focus on your brushwork to create a unique piece of art.
